A major electrical distribution utility in a metropolitan area needed maintenance of underground steel pipelines inside manholes. Splices to cable are made below ground in manholes that typically contain groundwater. CPM Painting/Coating addressed the need for pumping dry the manholes so underground pipe could be sandblasted, primed and coated -- all while staying in compliance with national standards for work in confined spaces.
